Your privacy is very important to us. This Privacy Policy covers how we collect, use, disclose, transfer, and store your information. By using the Slope mobile application (“App”), you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

What Information We Collect

There are two ways we collect information about you: when you give it to us, and when you interact with our Platform. Allow us to explain.

Information You Provide to Us

The App collects the information you choose to provide (“User Information”). This may include, for example:

  • Your email address
  • Information about your financial accounts

We use Plaid Technologies, Inc. (“Plaid”) to gather End User’s data from financial institutions. By using our service, you grant us and Plaid the right, power, and authority to act on your behalf to access and transmit your personal and financial information from the relevant financial institution. You agree to your personal and financial information being transferred, stored, and processed by Plaid in accordance with the Plaid Privacy Policy, available at https://plaid.com/legal.

Information Based on Your Activity on Our Platform

In order to provide Services to you and improve our business, Slope LLC collects information about your activity on our Platform, including the following information:

  • Device Information. This is information about how you access our Services, such as the operating system, hardware model, application or browser type and version, and unique identifiers associated with your device. We may also integrate with built-in device features (e.g., when you turn on fingerprint access for your Slope account).
  • Log Information. There are certain pieces of information we automatically collect in system logs or similar files about how you interact with our Services, such as which features you visit or click on. This Log Information may also include things like your IP address, browser or device configuration, date and time of access, cookie information and device crash logs.

How We Use the Information We Collect

Your privacy is our top priority. We will use your information for the following purposes:

  • To provide you with the App’s functionality.
  • To respond to your inquiries and fulfill your requests.
  • To send administrative information to you, such as information regarding the App and changes to our terms, including through push notifications and email.
  • To send you marketing communications that we believe may be of interest to you, including through push notifications and email.

Google Analytics

Our website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google’s behalf. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. By using this website, you consent to the processing of data about you by Google in the manner and for the purposes set out above.

Disclosure to 3rd Parties

We don’t share personal information with anyone outside of Slope LLC, except for the few exceptions below.

If you provide your bank account information to us, we use a third party service (Plaid) to receive your bank account balances and transaction information to display in the app for you. You may find the privacy policy for Plaid here. https://plaid.com/legal.

We share personal information if disclosure of such information is reasonably necessary to satisfy any applicable law, regulation, legal process or enforceable governmental request; to enforce applicable Terms of Service, including investigation of potential violations thereof; to detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud or security issues; and to protect against harm to the rights, property or safety of Slope LLC, its users or the public as required or permitted by law.

If Slope LLC is involved in a reorganization, merger, or sale, the information we collect may be transferred as part of that transaction.

Information Security

We use reasonable organizational, technical and administrative measures designed to protect the information you provide to us. The data you enter into the App is stored only on Apple’s iCloud servers. Unfortunately, no data transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. If you have reason to believe that your interaction with us is no longer secure, please immediately notify us at support@slopeapp.com.
